Despite sometimes getting a bad name, Johannesburg fascinates with its complexity, including urban edginess to forested streets; diversity; cultural riches; and sometimes sorted history. You name it, the list is long ... it's an eclectic (mis)match of ingredients which together create the magnificent whole.
One of the reasons Johannesburg is so fantastic is the abundance of artists who have chosen to live and create here - engaging with and within the city. I am interviewing some of these artists about their relationship with Jozi. Together their stories are forming a rich oral history record about the city.
